Defects and disorder within advanced materials play an important role in determining their physical properties. Pair distribution function (PDF) analysis is an analytical technique that uses X-ray total scattering data to provide local structural information from disordered materials, such as liquids, glasses, nanomaterials, or crystalline materials with local distortions. With their unparalleled speed and accuracy, our D8 ADVANCE and D8 DISCOVER diffractometers are ideal for the acquisition of high-quality total scattering data for PDF analysis. Combined with the powerful DIFFRAC.EVA and DIFFRAC.TOPAS software packages, our diffractometers offer complete analytical solutions for any total scattering application, from fingerprinting of amorphous phases to full structural characterization of intrinsically disordered materials.
Occupational exposure to respirable silica is a preventable health hazard. Exposure limits have been established by national authorities, and procedures for sampling and testing airborne particles with X-rays is governed by national standards, such as NIOSH 7500, OSHA ID-142, and MSHA P-2. The D6 PHASER can distinguish between the polymorphs of crystalline silica (quartz, cristobalite and tridymite) and can be calibrated to provide the concentration using appropriate standards. Using up to 1,200 W of X-ray power in combination with high-flux Soller collimators and Dynamic Beam Optimization, the D6 PHASER easily achieves the highest sensitivity of the measurement method in a short analysis time.
Step into the world of nutritional supplement manufacturer Nutristar, where Bruker's XRF spectrometers, the S6 JAGUAR and the S2 PUMA Series 2, are the game-changers for fast and accurate animal food analysis, enabling precision feeding. These instruments analyze solid and liquid samples, providing insights into mineral balances. This data helps Nutristar to continuously improve their products, ensuring high-quality milk production, healthy animals, and sustainable dairy farming.
Five years ago, Sathyanarayana "Reddy" Perumalla founded Seven Star Pharmaceutical Services, now located in Malvern, Pennsylvania. As a technology-driven Contract Research Organization (CRO) that focuses on drug development problem-solving through solid state chemistry/material science and engineering principles, a primary tool in their operation is a D8 QUEST ECO single crystal diffractometer.
Founder “Reddy” Perumalla had this to say about his partnership with Bruker AXS service: “As a small business, we have encountered tremendous challenges in starting and operating our business. Bruker service has really helped me every step of the way to make sure we were up and running, even during difficult times like those during the COVID-19 pandemic. Bruker’s remote and onsite support staff is exceptional. They know exactly what is going on with the system and what is needed in a timely fashion. All we need to do is make a call or email the team in Madison to receive rapid support.”
Bruker LabScape support consists of expert staff, customizable Maintenance Service Agreements, and cutting-edge tools for top-level support.
