Advanced Chemical Crystallography Applications Training *Classes are subject to change or cancellation with respect to the Coronavirus pandemic. Bruker will abide by all state and local regulations in effect at the time the class is scheduled.
This course is designed for experienced users of the Bruker D8 QUEST or D8 VENTURE systems for X-ray crystal structure determination (chemical crystallography). The course includes instruction and lab time. The training is in English, so participants should have strong English skills.
The course fee is $1,320 USD per person.
Because our courses are interactive and learner-oriented, we limit class size to a minimum of three and a maximum of six. Early enrollment is encouraged as registrations are accepted on a first-come/first-serve basis.
*Each participant will be provided with class materials and lunch daily.
This course runs 9am-5pm, Monday & Tuesday and covers the following:
Discussion of data collection techniques and strategies for difficult problems
Small or weakly diffracting samples
Unstable or air-sensitive samples
Hands-on use of a Bruker single crystal diffraction system with low-temperature device
Structure determination with APEX3 software suite for challenging samples: disorder and twinning
Data collection strategies
Advanced data integration and analysis techniques
Advanced structure determination and refinement techniques
Routine maintenance of software and hardware
Students are encouraged to bring his/her own samples and problem data
