About the course
This course is designed for users of the M4 Tornado with a focus on the geosciences. It is intended for intermediate and advanced users. Participants will receive four days of personalized hands-on training on the fundamentals of micro-XRF, in-depth software training, preventative maintenance, geoscience sample preparation, and more. It will provide practical use of the equipment and software. We will also introduce and use AMICS, Bruker’s mXRF automated mineral analysis software, and XMethod, our software for creating individual standardized quantification calibrations.
The course will be tailored to the individual registrants' applications. Participants will be encouraged to bring samples and example data. In addition, ample time for interaction with other participants provides a unique opportunity to exchange important technical information and methods.
Participants should contact the course instructor in advance to discuss samples or to convey specific requests of applications to be covered.
This training will be conducted in English, so attendees should have strong English skills.
