About the course

This course applies to the users of the D8 DISCOVER with XRD2. Participants will receive four days of training on the fundamentals of X-ray diffraction, familiarizing users with the basics of the system operation, safety, required maintenance, sample preparation and alignment, analysis and measurement software and applications.

This course is designed for novice users. It is a hands-on training and is intended to provide practical experiences in handling the X-ray diffractometer. The training will be performed on a D8 DISCOVER with DAVINCI system with a recent version of XRD2 software.

Because each class will be tailored to the individual registrants' applications, participants are encouraged to contact the course instructor in advance for more information or to convey specific requests on applications to be covered. Participants are encouraged to bring in samples or example date with them. The training is in English, so participants should have strong English skills.
