About the course
This course applies to a user of high-resolution and thin film X-ray diffraction methods on D8 DISCOVER systems. Participants will receive four days of intensive, hands-on training on the following high-resolution and thin film applications of X-ray diffraction:
- GID (Grazing Incidence Diffraction)
- XRR (X-ray Reflectivity)
- Rocking curves
- Two Theta - Omega Scans (symmetric and asymmetric)
- Reciprocal space mapping
Because each class will be tailored to the individual registrants' applications, participants are encouraged to contact the course instructor in advance for more information or to convey specific requests on applications to be covered. Participants are encouraged to bring in samples or example date with them. The training is in English, so participants should have strong English skills.
