About the course

Powder Diffraction (M/T) 9am-4pm

This training course will show the theoretical fundamentals, sample preparation techniques, and methods in qualitative phase analysis with the D2 and D8 family of diffractometers. The main focus is on powder diffraction using the DIFFRAC.SUITE software packages including DIFFRAC.EVA.

Quantitative X-ray Analysis (W/Th) 9am-4pm

This training course will show the different methods used for quantitative phase analysis, including the DIFFRAC.EVA and DIFFRAC.TOPAS software packages. The course is intended for users with experience in XRD, new users are strongly encouraged to first attend the X-ray Powder Diffraction course.

Attendance Fee
Course fee is $3,500 USD per person. Payment for the class per participant is due one month in advance.

Class size
Because our trainings are interactive and learner-oriented, we limit class size to a maximum of six attendees. Early enrollment is encouraged as registrations are accepted on a first-come/first-serve basis.

 **Each participant will be provided with class materials, computer, and lunch daily. While we have computers on-site, it is recommended that each participant bring a laptop. It is highly recommended to fly into  Madison (MSN) on Sunday afternoon/evening and fly out late Thursday evening or Friday morning to be able to attend the full course.
