Elemental Analysis of Food and Feed Products
with XRF

Quality Control and Production Monitoring made easy!

Elemental analysis plays a crucial role in food and feed production. The quality of forage and pet food products and, particularly, of food products is subject to strict (governmental) regulations. Screening of incoming material, monitoring of production processes and verification of final product quality need to be fast, reliable, and cost-efficient.

X-ray fluorescence (XRF) spectrometry is the optimal method for many analytical applications in the food and feed industry, including:

  • Positive Material Identification (PMI)
  • Foreign Body Identification (FBI)
  • Quantification of mineral nutrients
  • Quantification of toxic, heavy metals

XRF has key advantages when compared to traditional analytical methods (ICP and AAS), such as simple sample preparation, fast time-to-result, low cost of operation and high precision.

In this 45-minute webinar, Dr. Adrian Fiege and Application Scientist Hannes Lüers will talk about the benefits of using XRF in the food and feed industry. Several application examples will be shown and discussed.
