PHOTON 100: Shutterless Data Acquisition with Continuous Scans

PHOTON 100: Shutterless Data Acquisition with Continuous Scans (Oct 08, 2013)

In this on-demand webinar, Dr. Roger Durst and Dr. Michael Ruf shed light on the technology behind shutterless data acquisition for X-ray crystallography studies with the PHOTON 100 CMOS detector. Application results are presented and discussed as well.

The PHOTON 100 CMOS detector offers several advantages over conventional 2D CCD detectors that significantly reduce data acquisition time and improve data quality. On-camera data processing, shutterless data acquisition and continuous scans are features that are not available with traditional X-ray detectors.

The shutterless mode in a PHOTON 100 detector allows data to be read out while the camera is exposed to X-rays. In shutterless mode, the sample is constantly exposed to X-rays and continuously rotated which maximizes data acquisition efficiency and eliminates mechanical jitter. Superior data quality in less time is possible today! Watch to see for yourself.
