Light Element Analysis with Modern EDXRF Spectrometers

Hear about the latest in detector technology - register now!

Modern industrial processes such as in the mining, cement and metal industries require an advanced and tight process control. Energy Dispersive X-ray Fluorescence Spectrometry (EDXRF) is very common for such process control and the benefits are its ease-of-use and the excellent analytical performance. EDXRF instruments are typically very compact in benchtop size and offer low cost of ownership which makes them attractive for dedicated analytical tasks. Up to now, the performance for light elements such as fluorine (F), sodium (Na) and magnesium (Mg) was very limited due to thick detector windows that absorbed nearly all fluorescence radiation from light elements. The latest detector technology combined with modern instrument design and HighSense TM technology make the new EDXRF spectrometer S2 PUMA far superior compared to other instruments.

In this webinar, we will explain the advantages and benefits of modern EDXRF instrumentation for light element analysis. Analytical data will be shown for the analysis of F in phosphate rocks, Na in cement samples and Mg in feed materials. The high degree of accuracy and precision achieved by the S2 PUMA demonstrates the suitability of the instrument for the analysis of the discussed materials. The webinar also includes a general introduction into EDXRF analysis and required sample preparation for these materials. Join us for this complimentary 45-minute webinar with a live Q&A session to follow.

We look forward to seeing you at future webinars!
