In this 45-minute webinar, Dr. Nathan Henderson will demonstrate how X-ray diffraction (XRD) is an essential technique used in the analysis of minerals and geological formations. XRD is a non-destructive method that allows for the positive identification of mineralogical species and quantitative mineralogy (e.g., weight percent calculations of quartz versus carbonates).
During the complimentary webinar, Nathan discuss the use of the D2 PHASER - Bruker’s mobile, benchtop diffractometer – in the characterization of geological samples. We will begin with a look at proper sample preparation and the development of quantification models. In the second half of the webinar, Nathan will discuss case studies involving the analysis of shale rock formations and clay mineral speciation. There will be a live Q&A session following the live webcast.
We look forward to seeing you there!
